320 g – urad dal, dehusked
2 – green chilli (chopped very fine)
1/2 tsp – jeera (dry fried)
1 tsp – coriander leaves, chopped very fine

Directions
In a large bowl soak urad dal in water for 3 hours.
Drain and grind to a fluffy paste.
Mix thoroughly with the salt, chilli, jeera & chopped coriander.
In a idli cooker add water, put big lemon size balls of urad dough in idli plates, press them with wet hands to form round discs and steam for 8 minutes.
When soft but not sticky remove from the heat
