Chilli Idly

Idly batter for 8 idlys
2 Tomato
1 onion
1 Capsicum
2 tsp Chilli powder
3 tsp garam masala powder
1 pinch turmeric powder
2 tblsp rice flour
2 tblsp Maida /all purpose flour
salt
coriander leaves
Curry leaves (optional)
red food color (optional) – 1 pinch
2 tbsp oil
Directions
Make idlys
Grind tomato with chilli powder and turmeric powder.
In the ground paste add salt, garam masala , red food colour, maida and rice flour and mix well.
The batter should be of Bajji batter consistency.
Once the idlys cool down cut them into 4 pieces
Heat oil in pan and fry onions and capsicum with salt and keep them separately
Dip the idly pieces in the batter and in the same pan heat oil and shallow fry the idlys
Fry for 4 minutes until it becomes crisp and season with finely cut corriander leaves , curry leaves and fried onion mixture
