Dalsa

1 cup toor dal
1 big size tomato
3 tbsp or according to the taste – tamarind pulp
3 tbsp coriander leaves
1 stalk curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp haldi /turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli/mirchi powder
1/2 tsp mustard and cumin seeds mixed
1 tsp urad dal
Oil for seasoning
2-3 garlic, crushed
Directions
In a pressure cooker boil the dal along with the chopped tomatoes.
Once they have soften mash well adding 11/2 cups of water, salt, haldi, mirichi powder, coriander leaves and a few chopped curry leaves.
When the dal is boiling, add tamarind pulp, mix well. Boil on a medium heat for 5 more minutes.
Remove and keep aside.
Add the mustard and cumin seeds, urad dal, garlic and curry leaves.
