Easy Okkarai

1 cup – besan/gram flour
1 cup – jaggery
1/2 cup – ghee / vegetable oil
1/4 tsp – cardamon powder
Directions
Heat 3-4 tbsp of the ghee/oil in a kadai.
Roast the besan on a low heat until it becomes slightly reddish. Keep aside.
Dissolve the jiggery in 11/2 cups of water to make a syrup.
Add this syrup to the besan.
Mix thoroughly so that no lumps are formed.
Now transfer this mixture into a kadai.
Lower heat and keep stirring, adding oil and ghee from time to time.
When the mixture hardens and leaves the sides of the pan, remove from the stove
