Ginger thokku

110g – fresh tender ginger
110g – tamarind
2 tsp – salt
1 tsp – mustard seeds
Asafoetida, a little
1 tbsp – urad dal
10-12 – red chilli
Directions
Wash, peel and cut the ginger into small pieces.
Grind it with tamarind, salt and red chilli.
In a pan heat oil, add asafoetida powder, mustard seeds and urad dal.
Add ground paste and cook for 5 minutes on a low heat.
