Horse Gram Doddak

1cuphorse gram (kulth, kollu)
1 cup black gram (urad dal)
1 1/2 cup raw rice
5 green chilies finely chopped
1/4 tsp asafetida
mustard seeds
oil as required
salt to taste
Directions
Soak horse gram and black gram dal together in water for 3 hours.
Soak rice separately for same time.
Drain away the water and grind the gram and dal mixture until it is smooth and fluffy
Grind the rice separately till forms a thick, slightly grainy batter.
Mix both the batters together and add green chillies, asafetida and salt.
Place an iron or non stick kadai on medium heat.
Pour 1 1/2 Tbsp of oil in it.
When the oil is hot, add 1/2 tsp mustard seeds.
Once they splutter, pour 2 ladleful of batter in it.
Cover and cook on medium heat until the underside is golden brown.
Turn the doddak over with a rounded flat frying ladle.
Pour 1-2 tsp of oil around it.
Cook until the other side is also brown.
