Kandathippilli rasam

Lemon size tamarind
14 to 16 peppercorns
1 red chillies
2 tsp – tur dal
1/2 tsp – cumin seeds
8 – kandathippili pieces
5 – arisi thippili pieces
Curry leaves
Ghee for tempering
Mustard seeds
Salt to taste
Directions
In a pan heat ghee and roast tur dal, pepper corns and cumin grind with curry leaves and keep to one side
Roast kandathippili and arisi thippili in ghee.
Extract tamarind juice, add salt and let it boil for 2- 3 minutes.
Add the ground powder to it and some more water and boil for a further few minutes.
Temper with mustard, 1 red chilli and curry leaves.
