Palak dal

1 cup black masoor dal
1 cup chopped spinach
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chilli powder
A pinch of hing
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 chop onion
2 tomato puree
1 tsp cumin seed
Curry leaves
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp kasoori methi
Salt
2 tsp cream
Directions
In a pan of water boil the dal and spinach, add salt and pressure cook. Drain and leave to one side.
In another pan, heat the oil and sauté the onions until brown; then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, hing. Stir well.
Add tomato puree, cook for 2 minutes
Add a little water and kasuri methi.
Add this masala to the cooked dal along with the cream.
