Potatoes in Tomato Sauce

250 grm. potatoes
1 medium sized onion-chopped
2-3 Tomatoes chopped
1/2 tsp. salt (according to taste)
1 tsp. chilli (Lal Mirch) powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric (Haldi) powder
1-2 green chillies
1 tbs. chopped Coriander (Dhaniya) leaves.
Method
Peel and cut potatoes into small pieces.
In a pan on medium heat sauté the onion in oil until they become transparent.
Add all the spices and potato.
Lower the heat and cook covered, once the potatoes have softened a bit add the tomatoes mixing well. Cook further until the potatoes are done and the water has evaporated .
Cover and cook on low heat.
When the potatoes have softened a little, add tomatoes, mix well and cook till potatoes have softened and water has dried. Do not add any extra water.
