Ruseelay Modak

1 cup – rice flour
4 cups – water for modak
a pinch of cooking soda
For the rus:
2 cups – water
1 cup – sugar
1 cup – milk
3 tbsps – grated coconut
1 tsp – sesame seeds
1/4 tsp – cardamom powder
Directions
In a pan boil water add rice flour and cooking soda.
Cook on a low heat for 5 -7 minutes.
Cool and knead well. Make small balls from the prepared dough.
In a deep pan make thin sugar syrup with 2 cups of water and 1 cup sugar.
Add milk, grated coconut, white sesame seeds and cardamom powder.
Add modaks and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
