1 medium fresh white pumpkin
2 medium tomatoes
1/2 cup moong dal
Fresh ground pepper
Coriander / fresh parsley for garnish
3 sticks celery, peeled and diced (Optional)
For white sauce:
1 tsp butter
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp wheat/corn flour
Slice the Pumpkin into medium pieces.
Cut Tomatoes into quarters so that it is easier to remove the skin once they are cooked.
Mix Pumpkin, tomatoes and moong dal in a vessel and add about 2 cups of water
Pressure cook the Pumpkin, Tomatoes and Moong dal together (in a pressure pan/cooker)
Let cool the mixture for a while. Unpeel the tomatoes.
Blend the mixture in a mixie.
Prepare the white sauce by first heating the butter, then add the flour and stir continuously. Finally, add milk and let bring it boil.
Stir in the blended mixture into the white sauce and bring to a boil.
