Sheer Khurma

1 litre of milk
4 tbs. sugar
5-6 green cardamom (Chhoti Ilaichi) seeds
1/4 cup chopped pistachios (Pistay)
1/2 cup chopped coconut (Narial)-dried
1/2 cup chopped almond (Badam)
1/4 cup raisins (Kishmish)
1/4 cup chopped dried dates (Chhuwaray)
2 hand full of vermicelli (sewayyan)
2 tsp. Kewra essence
Method
Wash the fruit and then place it in a owl along with a little milk and soak for 4 hours.
To a pot add the milk, sugar and ilaichi seeds, simmer on a low heat and allow it to thicken stirring occasionally.
Add the vermicelli, cooking until it becomes soft.
Drain the fruit that is soaking and add this to the pot cook for a further 5 minutes and add the kerwa essence.
